Cedric Wong's recent study interest is in critical chain management – a derivative of Theory of Constraint initiated by Goldratt.
It is used in project management to optimize the use of resources by inserting proper feeding buffers and project buffers.

In new product development situation, we also encounter uncertainty. The use of stage gate approach try to optimize the use of resources and minimize the risk by this approach.
It seems we can do more thinking of how critical chain concepts can be used to solve similar business problem in NPD where there is full of uncertainty.
